Creating your wedding cake is a special part of the journey, and it should feel enjoyable, inspiring and uniquely yours. I offer a range of consultation options to suit your schedule, from an in-person design meeting, to a video consultation or a relaxed email discussion if you prefer flexibility. However we connect, we’ll thoughtfully shape every detail to design a cake that feels perfectly suited to you and your celebration.
When to Start Designing Your Cake
To capture the feel of your wedding, I usually suggest starting the cake design once things like your colour palette, flowers, outfits and venue styling are decided. It just helps everything tie together beautifully. And if you’ve got a Pinterest board, I’d love to see it, they’re such a great way to share ideas and inspiration.

Choose Your Consultation Style
In-Person Design Consultation
Once your date is secured, you’ll be invited to a wedding cake design consultation. You’re very welcome to visit for a relaxed consultation for two, where we can chat through your plans.
It’s a lovely opportunity to explore design ideas together, share inspiration and start bringing your cake vision to life in a calm, informal setting.

I take on a limited number of weddings each year, so availability for in-person appointments can be restricted.
Please note: I do not offer cake tastings at our consultation appointments, should you wish to sample my cakes you can do so by pre ordering one of our taster boxes, available on specific dates 2-3 times a year.
Video Design Consultation
Perfect for busy couples, those living further away, or anyone planning a Scottish wedding from abroad.
We’ll chat via video call and design your cake together just as we would in person, relaxed, friendly and completely tailored to you.
During our call:
We’ll chat through your inspiration and ideas together, guided by your pre-meeting design checklist and mood boards.

Virtual design via emails
If you’d prefer a more flexible approach, the entire design process can take place via email. I’ll send a short pre-meeting checklist beforehand, which I’ll use to create a personalised mood board tailored to your style.
From there, I’ll develop initial design sketches and we’ll refine them together until you’re completely happy with the final design.

To make the most of our time together, I’ll send a simple pre-meeting checklist beforehand. Using this, I will create a personalised moodboard so we can focus on ideas that suit your style from the start.

Wedding Cake Tasting Box
Should you wish to sample my cakes, you can do so by pre-ordering one of my sample boxes.
Cake tasting is available both before and after confirming your wedding cake order. While it isn’t essential, it’s something we highly recommend as part of the luxury wedding cake experience.
Each box includes
Six of Fay’s most popular wedding cake flavours, freshly baked from scratch and individually hand-wrapped for perfect freshness.
A Printed flavour menu, so you can note your favourites and begin curating your wedding cake flavours combinations.

Postage: £10 (UK-wide delivery)
Collections: Available by arrangement
Box flavours are carefully selected by Fay and revealed ahead of each release.
Taster boxes are only available on specific dates 2-3 times a year.
